Assassin’s Creed is one of the most anticipated games of 2007. Some aspects of this game are outstanding. The cinematic scenes are breathtaking. The cites are huge. If you climb to the highest building, everything you see is accessible and the view is breathtaking. Though this is an action game the story line plays an important part of the game.
The controls are very unique. Each button represents a part of Altair’s body. It takes a bit of getting use to. Running on rooftops and scaling buildings is fun if you play on a high profile mode. The combat is sort of rhythm based. If you get the rhythm of the moves down you can set off some very cool kill animations that you will never get tired of.
In order to complete missions you need to gather some information on who you are going to kill. There are about 6 or so people you can investigate before each assassination. You are required to do only 3. There aren’t that many side missions, a handful at best. To learn more about this see the video review below.
There is no doubt Assassin’s Creed scenery and graphic are some of the best on the xbox 360. Altair’s moves are fluid and the assassinations are fun to pull off. The downside is the long cut scenes, boring story and repetitiveness of the game play. I know that may seem like a lot, but I expected so much more from Assassin’s Creed. This game is certainly worth buying, thought the replay value is low. It’s certainly a game you don’t want to miss out on.
