Crackdown was created by one of the developers of grand theft auto. This third person action game is one of the hottest titles for the xbox 360. Crackdown is full of non-stop action. You’re a cop of the future. A super cop! It’s your job to clean up the city. How and in what order you do it in is up to you.

The city is littered with gangs and you need to take them out. This game has a similar feel to the grand theft auto series. You can pull people out of cars and roam the city. That is where the two games similarities end. Crackdown takes action games to a whole new level.

When you first start the game, you have limited weapons and skills. As you take out gangs you can acquire their weapons so long as you can get them back to a checkpoint without dying. If you do, you can access those weapons from then on. The more you use your abilites like strength, weapons, driving and explosives… the better you become at them and more damage you can do.

Exploring the huge city is a must. Collect the green orbs to build your agility. This will allow you to reach higher buildings and move faster. You can do missions in any order you like. I’ve spend many hours just working on discovering the huge city and building up my skills. Co-op is pretty cool as well. Get online and have someone help you out. You can drive together in the same car or go separately and dominate the city.
